Overview

Badrinath Temple indeed holds significant importance in Hinduism, being one of the key pilgrimage sites in India. Its inclusion in both the Chota Char Dham and the Char Dham adds to its religious significance. The other three temples in the Chota Char Dham—Yamunotri, Gangotri, and Kedarnath—are also revered by Hindus for their spiritual importance. Similarly, the temples in the Char Dham circuit—Dwarkadish, Rameshwaram, Jagannath, and Badrinath—are considered sacred and attract pilgrims from across the country.

 

The location of Badrinath Temple, nestled between the Nar and Narayan mountains, adds to its scenic beauty and spiritual ambiance, making it a cherished destination for devotees and tourists alike.

itinerary

Day 01 : Delhi - Haridwar (6 to 7 hrs)
Drive 230 km

Arrive in New Delhi and we will drive to Haridwar. On arrival at Haridwar, check in to your hotel. In the evening, proceed to Har Ki Pauri to enjoy Ganga Aarti on the banks of the Ganges. Dinner and Overnight stay at Haridwar.

Day 02 :Haridwar - Rudraprayag/Srinagar (5 to 6 hrs)
Drive 160 km

Early morning check out from the hotel and depart for Rudraprayag/Srinagar. Rudraprayag is a small pilgrim town on the holy confluence of the river Alaknanda and Mandakini. En-route, visit Devprayag, the confluence of the rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda. On arrival in Rudraprayag/Srinagar, check-in at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03 : Rudraprayag/Srinagar - Joshimath - Badrinath (5 to 6 hrs)
Drive 165 km

This morning, check out of the hotel at 08:00 am and drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. After a scenic drive through some wonderful Ghat roads, you arrive at Badrinath. On arrival, check into the hotel. After some rest and refreshments, you are all set to visit the Badrinath Temple for darshan in the evening. But first, head to Tapta Kund (Hot Spring), take a bath, and then proceed to the temple. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple of Shri Badrinath Ji stands 15 meters in height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a gilt bull and spire. Later, return to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel in Badrinath.

Day 04 : Badrinath - Joshimath - Rudraparyag/Birahi/Srinagar (5 to 6 hrs)
Drive 160 km

This morning, proceed for Badrinath darshan. After darshan, return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, embark on a local sightseeing tour of Badrinath, visiting Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti temple. In the afternoon, drive back to Rudraprayag via Karanprayag. Rudraprayag is a small pilgrim town situated at the holy confluence of the river Alaknanda and Mandakini. On arrival, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore Rudraprayag town. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05 : Rudraparyag/Birahi/Srinagar - Rishikesh - Haridwar (5 to 6 hrs)
Drive 160 km

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you'll drive downhill to Rishikesh, a spiritual city and the Yoga capital of the world. Upon reaching Rishikesh, you'll embark on a sightseeing tour, visiting Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. In the evening, drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06 : Haridwar - Delhi (6 to 7 hrs)
Drive 230 km
After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, you embark on the last leg of your Char Dham Yatra journey. Drive back to Delhi. Upon reaching Delhi, transfer to the Railway Station/Airport for your onward journey.
